Durlon® 9000
Durlon® 9000 is made with Teflon™ fluoropolymer and is used extensively in chemical, pulp & paper, food & beverage, railroad tank car industries and other general industrial applications where resistance to highly aggressive chemicals is required. Durlon® 9000 (blue) is also available in un-pigmented as style 9000N (white), both styles conform to FDA requirements and USP Class VI certified.
Durlon® 9000 has been tested and approved for liquid chlorine, caustics, and high purity applications in the pharmaceutical industry. It also has been independently tested and certified (BAM) for Oxygen service at pressures up to 585 psi (40 bar) and temperatures up to 392°F (200°C), and for service in liquid oxygen.
Durlon® 9000 has achieved numerous certifications: WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) Approved Material, USP Class VI, FDA and (EC) 1935/2004 & EU (10/2011) compliant, BAM oxygen service, TA-luft (VDI Guideline 2440), ABS-PDA & Pamphlet 95, the chlorine institute, DNV-GL. And has passed the API 6FA fire test.
Note: Unlike generic glass fiber filled PTFE, the shape of the fillers used in Durlon® 9000 do not allow wicking which can cause corrosion on flange surfaces.
