Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) foam, blended with Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) is a standard foam gasket material for general purpose applications. It is considered as an alternative to silicone for long-term sealing as its closed cell structure minimizes water absorption and resists weathering, ultraviolet (UV), ozone and oxidation. With a low density of 4lbs/ft³, closed cell EPDM/EVA foam is an excellent choice for use in industrial and commercial settings as the material is flexible, with good aging properties and compressibility. This material is black/charcoal in colour and is ideal for weather-stripping applications.

The closed-cell structure of EPDM/EVA blend makes it impermeable to water and air, which makes the material ideal for waterproof sealing and other gasketing use. EPDM also works to provide electrical resistance and thermal durability. Our EDPM/EVA foam has a recommended temperature of -40 to 150°F (-40 to 65°C) and can be supplied with or without adhesive.
