Viton™ black

The F400 Viton™ is a 100% black, commercial grade fluoroelastomer polymer with a light fabric impression finish. This high technology performance material is designed for applications that require 400°F (204°C) extreme service temperature and has excellent chemical resistance. This material resists aliphatic, aromatic, and halogenated hydrocarbons, petroleum Oil, fuels, ozone and weather, lubricants, and animal or vegetable Oil. It has a service temperature range of -20°F to 400°F (-28 to 204°C) and a shore “A” hardness of 75 durometer.

Viton™ is not recommended for service in acids, chlorinated solvents, or hot water and steam. Typically, fluoroelastomers are not recommended for service in low molecular weight esters and ethers, ketones, certain amines, hot anhydrous hydrofluoric or chlorosulphonic acids and alkyl phosphate esters.

This material can be used in the fabrication of gaskets, seals, packings, washers, pads, shims, joints, and other parts for use where severe operating conditions prevail.
