Neoprene C.I.

Cloth Inserted Neoprene is a synthetic black rubber material with cloth inserted reinforcement. Cloth insertion provides added strength, dimensional stability, and resistant properties. Unlike other non-reinforced rubber, cloth insertion delivers enhanced stability and reduces gasket creep. This material will also stay intact when bolt or compression loads are at a maximum.

C.I. Neoprene has a smooth plate finish with high-quality cloth insertion for every 1/16” inch of thickness to ultimately reinforce the rubber material. This gasket material is the perfect solution to low line pressure applications such as air, water and steam as it is more durable and flexible.

This material retains regular Neoprene properties such as good weathering, compression resistance, flame retarding, and resistance to petroleum-based fluids. It can resist moderate chemicals and acids, ozone, sunlight, Oil, fats, greases and many solvents.

Our C.I. Neoprene rubber has a working temperature range of -20 to +170°C (-4 to +338°F) and a Shore “A” hardness of 60 durometer. It is good general purpose polymer for use with a wide range of applications.
