Nitrile (AB-365)

Nitrile AB-365 is a smooth, premium grade black sheet rubber manufactured by American Biltrite™. It has a hardness of 60 durometer and withstands a wide range of service temperatures from -40 to 200°F (-40 to 93°C).

Nitrile, also known as Buna-N, is a popular elastomer that is manufactured from a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. This material is ideal for machinery gaskets and is perfect for those in and around oil and gas handling equipment due to its high resistance to oil and gasoline.

AB-365 proudly features superior resistance to petroleum-based hydraulic fluids, excellent resistance to diesel and biodiesel, very good resistance to alkalis and acids, and also offers resistance to hydrocarbon solvents. It provides little resistance to strong oxidant agents, ketones and esters.
