Hypalon™
Made from a chlorinated and sulfonated polyethylene compound, Hypalon™ is a black synthetic rubber with a smooth finish. It has a shore “A” hardness of 70 durometer and is able to withstand temperatures from -30 to 120°C (-22 to 248°F).
Our Hypalon™ rubber features exceptionally good resistance to environmental factors such as weather, ozone, sunlight, abrasion and oxidation. This material is flame resistant and also has excellent properties for alkalis and acids. However, Hypalon™ is not recommended for use with aldehydes, aromatic or chlorinated solvents. It is also not recommended for extended outdoor applications.
