Nitrile (Robco^® 9863)

Nitrile Style 9863 is a black rubber sheet manufactured by Robco^®. It has a hardness of 60 durometer and withstands a wide range of service temperatures from -40 to 200°F (-40 to 93°C).

Nitrile, also known as Buna-N, is a popular elastomer that is manufactured from a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. This material is ideal for machinery gaskets and is perfect for those in and around oil and gas handling equipment due to its high resistance to oil and gasoline.

Nitrile Robco^® 9863 has very good resistance to oil and gasoline, superior resistance to petroleum-based hydraulic fluids, good resistance to hydrocarbon solvents, and good resistance to alkalis and acids. This material is a great first choice for contact with hydrocarbons.
