Cork / Nitrile HC60
This blend of cork and nitrile rubber (also known as Buna-N) has the compressibility of cork and the flexibility of rubber. The compressibility of the material performs well in low torque or bolt pressure flange gaskets, particularly in lower pressure service. Medium compressibility makes an excellent sealing material with relatively high tensile strength of 200 psi.
Cork/Nitrile blend has good oil and solvent resistance. This material has a density of 40lbs/ft³ and seals well at temperatures of up to 248°F (120°C). It is typically used for transformers and as automotive oil seals, gear box seals, fluid seals, and cover gaskets.
All cork rubber materials are available with or without pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing.
