Minseal Flexible Graphite Foil (In Rolls)
Minseal sets its standard high. While most manufacturers offer 95% carbon content for their industrial grade products, we offer 99% carbon content for the same grade products. Higher carbon content gives the flexible graphite better chemical resistance, better thermal conductivity, and better sealability. Raw material (mineral graphite) selection, chemical treatment of mineral graphite, exfoliation, and compressing process are the four factors that affect the quality of flexible graphite. With expertise in both manufacturing and applications of flexible graphite, we know how to control these factors to give the flexible graphite the just right properties that fit your application.
Grades of Minseal Flexible Graphite Foil
2010-B Industrial Grade (Fluid Sealing Grade) Roll
This is the most commonly used grade, 99% carbon content. As gasket material, it is usually fabricated into Graphite Laminate, and widely used in fluid sealing applications: flange gasket, spiral wound gasket, heat exchanger gasket, etc. It can also be used as solid lubricant in metal stamping and forming applications, or as heat liner in industrial furnaces and other heating devices. 2010-B equals to Grafoil GTB grade.
2020–B Slit Ribbon, Spiral Wound Gasket Filler
This grade is primarily formulated as spiral wound gasket filler, 99% carbon. The graphite foil is slit into narrow ribbon form, or "pancake" shaped flat roll.
2010–H Adhesive Backed
Industrial Grade with pressure sensitive adhesive backing. Adhesive backing facilitates its installation as gasket or seal.
2010-A Premium Grade (Nuclear Grade)
This grade has a high carbon content of 99.5% minimum (typically 99.8%). It is designed for sealing applications in radioactive environment, nuclear plant, or other applications that require materials of ultra high purity. 2010-A equals to Grafoil GTA grade.

Flexible Graphite Sheets & Laminates
Minseal Graphite Sheets and Laminates are made from high purity Minseal 2010-B Industrial Grade Flexible Graphite. There are two basic types: adhesive bond and mechanically bond (Tang Inserted).
2030-L Plain Graphite Sheet, homogeneous, no insert
2030-R Graphite Laminate, 316 Stainless Steel Foil insert, adhesive bond
2030-E Graphite Laminate, 316 Stainless Steel Tang insert, mechanically bond
2030-S Graphite Laminate, 316 Stainless Steel Wire Mesh insert, adhesive bond
2030-P Graphite Laminate, Mylar (Polyester) Film Insert
2030-J Graphite Laminate, Tinplated Carbon Steel Tang insert, mechanically bond
Other Styles: Per customer’s request, we can also supply Graphite Laminates reinforced with materials not on above list, such as: Fiber Glass Fabric, Carbon Steel Foil, Aluminum Foil, Nickel Alloy, Monel, etc.

Applications for Graphite Laminates
2030-L Pure Graphite Laminate can be used for flange gasket in relatively low pressure sealing condition. Attributing to good thermal conductivity of graphite, 2030-L is an ideal filler material for metal jacketed gaskets (corrugated metal gaskets, heat exchanger gaskets).2030-R and 2030-E, these two 316 stainless steel reinforced Graphite Laminates are ideal sheet gasket materials for most industrial fluid sealing applications. They resist corrosive chemicals, high temperature, high pressure. Recommended to be used in refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, paper mills, mines and other industrial fields.
2030-J is generally recommended for automotive and other combustion engine applications, or similar sealing conditions. Typically it is used for head gasket, exhaust gasket.
